How to Play GridSmash
GridSmash is a strategic block placement puzzle played on a 10Ã10 grid. Each turn you receive three block pieces of varying shapes and sizes. Drag and drop each piece onto the grid to place it â all three must be placed before you receive new ones.
Block Rotation: You can rotate any piece before or during placement! On desktop, right-click while dragging a piece to rotate it 90° clockwise. On mobile, simply tap a piece in the dock (without dragging) to rotate it. Tap multiple times to reach your desired orientation, then drag it onto the grid. Strategic rotation is key to fitting pieces into tight spaces!
When you completely fill a row or column, it clears from the board and earns you points. Clear multiple lines simultaneously for combo bonuses â the more lines at once, the higher the multiplier! Building consecutive combos across turns multiplies your score even further.
Starting from turn 16, special blocks may appear. Crystal blocks (đ) explode on placement, clearing a 3Ã3 area. Frost blocks (đ§) freeze random cells that require two line clears to remove. Wild blocks (â) are single golden cells you can place anywhere to fill gaps strategically.
Every 10 turns, the Shatter Zone activates on the bottom 2 rows. Line clears in the Zone score triple points, but beware â if the Zone expires after 5 turns without being cleared, empty cells fill with random blocks. Master the Zone timing for massive scores!
The game ends when none of the three new pieces can fit anywhere on the grid. Plan ahead, keep the board clean, and chase those combos. Try Sprint 40 to race for the fastest 40-line clear, or relax with Zen Mode for stress-free play.
