How to Play HexMatch
Connect matching crystals by dragging through neighboring hexagons. A chain needs at least three crystals before you release it. Each color also carries a shape mark, so you can identify matching tiles without relying only on hue. The visible numbered line follows your selection. Its green outline and the status below the board tell you when the chain is ready and how many points releasing it will earn. You can shorten a chain by moving back to its previous crystal.
Three crystals score 30 points, four score 60, five score 120, six score 300, and seven or more score 600. Chains of five or more also leave a bomb near their middle. Tap a bomb when the board is ready to clear occupied cells within two hexagon rings, scoring 20 points for each destroyed tile. Rainbow stars can join any one color in a chain. They appear every eight completed chains.
After a clear, tiles settle along the board's slanted columns and refill while leaving the top of each column open. Every eighth completed chain triggers Rising Tide, which shifts the columns upward and adds new tiles below. If an occupied top cell would be pushed out, the run ends. A countdown helps you prepare before the next rise. The hint button highlights a numbered path of four crystals when possible, otherwise a valid three-crystal path. Follow those numbers rather than tracing an entire connected group. If there is no match, the shuffle button rearranges colors. Continue is available once after a run ends.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a chain?
Drag through at least three neighboring crystals of one color, then release. Each hex has up to six neighbors. Backtrack to the previous crystal to shorten the selection.
How do bombs work?
A chain of five or more leaves a bomb near its middle. Tap it when the board is ready to clear occupied tiles within two rings, earning 20 points per destroyed tile.
When does the tide rise?
Every eight completed chains, columns shift upward and refill below. An occupied top cell pushed off the board ends the run. Bomb taps do not advance this chain counter.
What are rainbow stars?
A rainbow star appears every eight completed chains and can join any one color in a chain. It does not allow mixing two different ordinary colors.
How is the score calculated?
3 crystals: 30 points; 4: 60; 5: 120; 6: 300; 7 or more: 600. Five or more also creates a bomb. Explosions earn 20 points per destroyed tile.
How do hints work?
The hint outlines a numbered, traceable path of four matching crystals if possible, or three when only a shorter path is available. Follow the numbers in order. Help is currently available without an ad; a configured reward provider would ask first. If no match exists, use Shuffle.
