How to Play MergeChain

MergeChain turns number matching into a small physics puzzle. Aim the marble along the top, then release to drop it into the vessel. Two touching marbles with the same number combine into one larger marble: 2 becomes 4, then 8, 16, and beyond 2048. Bigger values take more space, so plan room for the marble that will appear after a merge. The number remains printed on each marble, making matching possible without relying on color.

While aiming, the dotted line and outlined circle mark the first contact along a straight drop. A green guide identifies an equal-number target. This is a planning aid, not a promise of the final resting place: moving marbles, collisions, and rolling can change the outcome. You can also focus the board, use the left and right arrow keys to aim, and press Space or Enter to drop. The short drop cooldown gives the pile time to settle.

Each merge scores the new value, multiplied by the current chain. Quick follow-up merges grow that multiplier; a new drop or a one-second gap ends the chain. Watch the dashed danger line. Settled marbles extending above it start a grace period of two to four seconds depending on difficulty. Freshly dropped marbles have a brief exclusion while falling. Easy has slow gravity and only 2s and 4s; higher difficulties add larger drops and increase pressure over time. Daily repeats its seeded drop sequence at the selected difficulty. Time Attack gives you two minutes. A hint suggests a matching column; it does not solve the physics for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the physics work?

Marbles fall, bounce, and roll against walls, the floor, and each other. Larger values have larger radii. The aiming circle shows first contact, not the final resting place.

How are chains scored?

A merge earns the new value multiplied by the chain. Merges within one second grow it. A fresh drop or a longer gap ends the chain.

What happens above the danger line?

Settled marbles above the danger line start a grace period: Easy gives four seconds, Normal three, Hard two and a half, and Expert two. Newly dropped marbles are excluded briefly while falling. Bring the pile down before the timer ends.

What numbers can drop?

The marble at the top is your next drop. Easy draws 2 or 4; Normal and Hard draw 2, 4, or 8; Expert can also draw 16. Equal numbers merge into larger ones.

How do hints work?

The hint suggests a column above a matching marble. The aiming guide estimates the first contact only; bouncing and rolling can change the result. Help is currently available without an ad. If a reward provider is enabled later, it will ask before showing a reward ad.

How to Play

Drop numbered balls into the field. When two balls of the same number touch, they merge into a larger number!

Drag horizontally to move the next ball, and release to drop it.

Chain Reactions

Create combos! If a newly merged ball bounces and merges again, you earn a huge score multiplier.

Danger Line

If a ball stays above the dashed red line beyond your difficultyโ€™s grace period, the run ends.

โ†ป Continue once

After the pile reaches the danger line, Continue removes all balls above the danger line and resumes the game. Available once per game.

Difficulty

Level Gravity Drop Pool Scaling
Easy Slow 2, 4 None
Normal Medium 2, 4, 8 Mild
Hard Fast 2, 4, 8 Moderate
Expert Very Fast 2, 4, 8, 16 Aggressive

Normal, Hard, and Expert get progressively harder over time โ€” gravity increases and cooldown decreases!
