How to Play SortStack
SortStack is a relaxing yet challenging color sorting puzzle. Your goal is to sort all the scattered colored blocks so that each stack contains exactly 4 blocks of the same color. Tap a stack to select its top block, then tap another stack to move the block there. You can only place a block onto an empty stack or onto a stack where the top block matches its color. Lock & Expansion: completing a stack locks it into place, and a new empty stack appears. Undo Freely: use the Undo button as many times as you like without penalties. Hint System: use the đĄ Hint button to see the optimal next move. Scoring: clear a level for 500 base points with bonus for efficiency. Move Limits: Easy mode has unlimited moves, Medium 50, Hard 40, Expert 35.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is SortStack different from other sorting games?
Instead of the typical test tubes and round balls, SortStack uses a clean rectangular drawer aesthetic with square blocks. Additionally, its unique "Lock & Expand" mechanic rewards you with a new empty stack every time you complete a color, creating a satisfying progression as you play.
Do I have to watch an ad to undo a move?
No! SortStack provides unlimited undos completely free. We believe puzzle games should be relaxing and forgiving of simple misclicks.
What are the different difficulty levels?
SortStack offers four difficulties in Classic mode: Easy (3 colors, 5 tubes, unlimited moves), Medium (5 colors, 7 tubes, 50 moves), Hard (7 colors, 9 tubes, 40 moves), and Expert (10 colors, 12 tubes, 35 moves). Relaxed mode removes move limits entirely. Daily Challenge uses a pre-selected difficulty that changes every day.
Are all puzzles solvable?
Yes. Every single puzzle in SortStack is generated by starting from a perfectly solved state and applying random reverse-moves. This guarantees that every layout is 100% solvable.
